I have been soooo busy getting my house together for Christmas.  I designed a few wall quotes so I am posting one them for the hop.  I used Songbird, A Child's Year, Beyond Birthdays and Inspired Heart.

I also made a calendar but so far I have only decorated one month.  Hopefully by the end of the month I will have completed at least the first few months of 2011.  My plan is to use each month as a layout and add the pictures and journal as I go along.

Born to Rock a Mohawk

This is my take on this week's sketch over at Platinum Scraps.  I used my newly purchased Rock Princess cart.  For the rock princess I made a few edits to her hairstyle.  ;-)  She originally had a afro but I cut it down to match Sunshine's mohawk. I also used my Imagine for the musical notes paper.  The pictures of my Sunshine just makes the layout...in my opinion.  ;-)  She loves to wear her mohawk!

Smiley Card Circle Challenge

This is a card I made for the weekly circle contest using Smiley Cards.  Provo Craft recently gave this cart to all gypsy owners free of charge!  It is a very cute cart with lots of smiley images.

For the circle challenge, you had to follow a sketch and make a birthday card or LO with buttons.

Altered Martha Stewart Favor Boxes

I am this week's designer over at Tuesday Treats!  Be sure to go on over and check out the amazing projects.  Today I am showing you an item I altered for Halloween. Last week I started looking at my cartridges for a goody bag or box to make to give to the kiddos at Sunshine's (my 3yo DD) daycare for Halloween. I wanted something easy to make because I needed 20. I looked through my carts then I looked through my "supplies" and I came across these boxes. I purchased these last year from Big Lots when they had all of the Martha Stewart wedding stuff on clearance. There are 20 in the pack...just the amount I needed. Now I just had to find a way to alter them so they are Halloween themed.

I started with some ink. I got my studio G ink and a dauber and started to color the box orange. There is a little white bow that I removed from the front of the box. I did not color the inside of the box but I made sure to include the sides.

It covered fairly easy and quickly. Now off to my gypsy to see what images I can use. I wanted to cover the clear window. Don't want 3 year olds to see their treats. ;-) The box folded is a little over 2 1/2 inches. I used the pumpkin from Gypsy Wanderings cut at 2.5 by 2.3.

On another page I added the shadow with a spider from Designer's Calendar and bats from Paper Doll Dress Up. For the bats I removed all of the score lines that showed the eyes and accents on the wings. I did this because the image is so small - only 2.5 by 2.25 and the lines barely cut anyway.

The spider was added onto a square on the inside of the box to cover the see through window.

The three welded bats were added to each side of the box and I accented the face and wings with my white gel pen.

A little inking to the edges of the pumpkin and some pop dots to add dimension to the pumpkin finishes off this cute little treat box. ((Probably overkill for a bunch of 3 year olds but Sunshine loved it! ))

This was a quick, easy and fun way to make these cute little boxes fit a Halloween theme. I am sure they will be a hit at daycare. Thank you all for checking out my project. Be sure to visit me at Tuesday Treats. Have a great day!

Imagine Best Friends

I made this card with an image from Best Friends.  I made sure I layered my image because I LOVE layers.  I also inked the edges a little and used my gel pen to add a few accents.  I had to pull out my gypsy and expression to make the word 'relax'.  Thanks for looking!

Weekly Circle Challenge

Since joining the cricut circle I have really been challenged with my scrapping.  This LO is for this weeks challenge.  We were to make a project with 3 of the following:  pink, flourishes, ruffles, glitter or jewels.  As you can see these are pics of Sunshine when she was 3 months old.  I kept a journal of her first year and the typed part is a journal entry that I wrote telling how much she has changed my life.  This is my first Imagine project also.  All cuts were done on the Imagine with the exception of the flourishes.  Those were on Gypsy Wandering so I couldn't use my I for those.  There are some amazing prizes this week.  Wish me luck!

Copic Coloring

Here is a video I did for Platinum Scraps on coloring with copic markers.  As you all know I LOVE coloring with these amazing markers.  This shows how I was taught to blend with different shades.

Love Machine

Hello Crafters! I was asked to be a guest designer on The Bug Bytes.  I was really excited to design somthing for Pam's blog so  I made a card from the Robotz cartridge. I am a card maker first and a scrapper second so I really enjoyed making this card. I love this cartridge but I needed it to work for my passion of cards. I looked at several of the robotz to see if I could weld them together to a make a card. I finally came up with this idea.
To begin I added 2 images of the robot to my screen, overlapping them so that they are connected in the middle. By doing this it will eliminate one of the arms but I will show you how I added that back in a bit. Be sure to weld your image!

I then added another page to add my layers to the mat. I added the layers twice because I wanted then in 2 different colors. I also copied one image of the robot from the first page. (this ties in with that overlapping arm)

Fold the welded robot in the middle to make the card. Take the single robot and glue it on top of the folded card robot.

Tada! Our robot now has 2 arms!

I used word to print my sentiment on a blank sheet of paper. I then used clever someday’s hinge method - http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/2009/09/22/hinge-technique-for-cutting-printouts/ - to cut out the robot with the sentiment.

I cut off the arms and antennas and added this to the inside of the card.

I added the layers to the front of the card and used my black gel pen to accent a few areas to complete the look.

Thanks Pam for having me! I had alot of fun creating this card. Be sure to visit The Bug Bytes for other great projects!

Mature Cards

I got a request for a sexy mature card that a wife wanted to give to her husband.  I immediately thought of Kenny K's digital images.  He has quite a few sexy ladies on his site.  I used my copics to color them.  After cutting out Miss Fortune, I realized that she would look nice sitting on something.  I pulled out my G and made a test cut of the sofa on French Manor.  She fit perfectly!  I used my cuttlebug to emboss the sofa and placed Miss Fortune on the right side.  The other image is Delores D'ammage.

Sunshine Door Hanger

I created this for a challenge on Platinum Scraps using Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cart.

Bon Voyage

This was Sunshine's first cruise!  We had just boarded the ship and were out looking over the port in Tampa.

I Promise

At Sunshine's first visit to the dentist I promised her a toy if she would be a big girl.  While waiting for the dentist, she asked me "Mommy will it hurt?"  I said no.   She then asked "You promise?"  A Ni Hao Kai Lan doll was her gift for being such a big girl!  Here is the layout I made with Sunshine and her new doll.  :-)

Chore Chart #2

A couple of months ago I created a chore chart to help Sunsine with understanding her daily chores.  Since then cricut has come out with a chore chart LITE cart.  This was the first lite cart I bought.  With the previous chart I had to explain what each icon meant....with this one Sunshine understands.  :)  I bought a magnetic calendar board from Walmart and used magnet material for the base on each icon.  I layered the top with cardstock.

Copic Crazy!!!

I have gone copic crazy!  Since taking the copic basic and blending class last weekend, I have purchased a few markers and I am coloring everyday.  I figure practice makes perfect!  Here are a few images I have colored.

I can't remember where I found this cute little girl.  I was looking at Free Digital Stamps blog and I saved quite a few so I am not exactly sure where I got her from.  She is such a cutie!

This is Ruby from bugaboostamps.com.  She is a riot!  There is a whole line of Ruby stamps and I am sure I will be purchasing more.  The inside of the card says "Hate me because your boyfriend thinks so!"  LOL!

These 2 images are from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I really love her images.

This is a Bratz coloring page.  I don't really like how she turned out but I love the DCWV Blue Jean stack so I decided to use her since it looks like she has on jeans.

This is another image I found from Free Digital Stamps blog.  Again, not sure where I got her from but she is such a cutie.

Another coloring page image.
